Russian propaganda: “There is so much hunger in the UK that they are one step away from cannibalism”

An article about the alleged famine in Great Britain was published on the Cargrad TV portal. Russian propaganda claims there is such a famine in the UK that the British are on the verge of cannibalism.

Cargrad TV is owned by the Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeyev. He is sympathetic to Vladimir Putin. As you can guess, the whole article is a pile of nonsense and Russian propaganda.

The first article was noticed by the Gbnews.uk portal, which presented a bizarre thesis of Russian journalists. According to them, due to the imposition of Western sanctions, the largest food exporters are constrained and cannot deliver products to other countries, which causes the inhabitants to starve. Russia and Belarus were named the largest exporters.

The portal also reached for inflation quotes, and to support its thesis it also cited… a joke from a Jeremy Clarkson column in the Sunday Times. Claskson wrote that “it is only a matter of time before people start eating their neighbors.

The title of the article is: “Cold, Hunger, Cannibalism. London fell into a Ukrainian pit which it dug itself.”
