Another, third conflict on the border! This time a shootout between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan!

After the war in Ukraine, the exchange of fire between Azerbaijan and Armenia, now another conflict ensued. There was a shootout between border guards on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

The Reuters agency reports that the Kyrgyz border guard maintains that the shooting occurred when Tajik guards were asked to leave “combat positions” along the border. The Tajik border guard was supposed to use weapons, and Kyrgyz guards responded with the same.

This is yet another conflict between the former USSR republics. So far 99 people have died in the fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
