Condolences after the death of Queen Elizabeth II were sent, among others, by Vladimir Putin. For this reason, many people wondered if the leader of Russia would come to the funeral. The Kremlin spokesman briefly commented on the decision of the Russian authorities.
“I wish you courage and perseverance in the face of this difficult, irreparable loss. Please send your sincere condolences and support to the members of the royal family and the entire nation of Great Britain”, wrote Vladimir Putin. “The Queen was an authority on the international stage”, he added.
Funeral ceremonies will take place on Sunday, September 18 at Westminster Abbey. Many people wonder if the condolences from Vladimir Putin mean that he will go to London.
– Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning to go to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Although the Russians respected her for her wisdom, Putin’s presence at the queen’s funeral is not taken into account – said Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman.
