The airline lost the suitcase of a woman who was traveling from the USA to Ireland. It wouldn’t be surprising, because it does happen sometimes. The problem was that the luggage contained an urn with the ashes of the passenger’s parents.
The woman traveled from the USA to Ireland to scatter the ashes on her home island, as her parents wished. The stopover took place in Toronto. It turned out, however, that the urn was lost in Canada.
“It was terrifying to know that I lost my parents”, said a woman quoted by the BBC.
For eight consecutive days, the woman appeared at the airport to find out about the status of her luggage, but it was impossible to find it. It took two weeks for Air Canada to send her suitcase back to Chicago.
From there, the luggage again had to go to Ireland. After many adventures, the woman was able to fulfill her parents’ last will and scatter their ashes on her home island.
