The Spanish media quotes the spokesman for the Islamic State. The man calls for attacks in Europe and to take advantage of the ongoing war.
“The heat of war is burning there and the crusaders are there”, said IS spokesman Abu Omar Al-Muhajir, quoted by the daily El Espanol. “One should take advantage of the fact that the infidels are fighting among themselves”, he added. He called on “lone wolves”, or self-employed bombers, to “kill, stomp on and stab Christians in their backyards.”
No European state can feel safe, because according to the newspaper “La Razon”, the call is directed to all countries where the majority of its inhabitants are Christians.
The action is intended to be a retaliation for the death of IS’s leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashem al-Qurayshi. The man blew himself up, killing himself, his family and others when he noticed American commandos approaching the building. US President Joe Biden announced this on February 3.
