Mariupol is an important city from a strategic point of view. The Russians are constantly bombing it. The population is on the verge of physical and mental exhaustion. Communications and electricity are down, there is no gas, the inhabitants are starving and have no water. Even though 90 percent of the infrastructure has been destroyed, soldiers are still defending the city.
