Mariupol City Council has published a please for help:
“Haven’t eaten in two days. I’m dizzy. I cannot leave the city on foot. Good thing there’s some water. Terrible words that the inhabitants of Mariupol hear more and more often from their other relatives. When the connection is broken for a minute or two. More and more deaths from starvation. More and more people are left without food supplies. And all attempts to start a large-scale humanitarian operation aimed at saving the people of Mariupol are blocked by the Russian side. Because the occupiers are not interested in people and their fate. And only a propaganda picture with the forced deportation of people to Russia.
In an environment where centralized mass evacuation is not possible, we see hundreds and thousands of inspiring examples of mutual aid. We are grateful to the volunteers and caring people who help lead the inhabitants of Mariupol out of the zone of active warfare on a daily basis. We thank ours
brothers and sisters from Berdyansk, Zaporizhia, Tokmak, Wasylówka, Dnieper, Vinnitsa, Lviv, Kryvyi Rih … Many cities in Ukraine and in the world that accept immigrants from Mariupol.
But now we have come to the limit.
When ten tougher sanctions are needed, closed skies, planes, tanks from Ukraine’s allies, excessive diplomatic efforts.
All! Save hundreds of thousands of people in Mariupol. Save from hell and the never-ending circle of intimidation. Save all other cities of our country from the terrible fate of Mariupol.
We are begging for help! “, We read in the statement.
