Lavrov: “A peace mission in Ukraine may lead to a confrontation between NATO and Russia”

“Sending a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine may lead to a direct confrontation between Russia and NATO,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday.

Lavrov appeared in front of the audience and academics of the Moscow Institute of International Relations. During his speech, he emphasized. that neo-Nazism is spreading in Ukraine.

During his visit to Kiev, Polish Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński spoke about sending a peace mission to Ukraine. The head of Russia’s foreign ministry said that such a step could lead to a direct confrontation between Russia and NATO.

Kaczyński argued that such a mission could be carried out by NATO countries. Poland is to present a draft of this project at the Thursday’s summit of the Alliance in Brussels.
