The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, argues that Russia treats Ukraine as a “gate” to other Western European countries.
– Ukraine is a gate for the Russian army that wants to enter Europe, but barbarians cannot enter – said Volydymyr Zelensky to the Italian parliament.
He added that new sanctions are needed because the war has been going on for almost a month. In particular, he called for the oligarchs assets to be frozen.
The president of Ukraine also warned that some countries are facing hunger due to the war as Ukraine cannot export products, mainly corn. Experts indicate that hunger is not likely to threaten Europe, but the real scenario is large increases in prices of almost all products.
